Paint Marks
I’ve applied white paint to my images and scratched back to reveal the colours underneath. I chose white because it’s clean and bright and contrasts with the muted colour palette it covers. White embellishes the surface, a way of re-looking at the original image, re-composing. Areas can be highlighted, defined, exaggerated, mimicked or blocked out.
